Its been almost 20 years since I've been to Florida and I cannot wait to return! With so much to do there, it is no wonder it is one of the most popular and most visited vacation destinations year after year! Considered the theme park capital of the world, Orlando is a destination not to be taken lightly so choose wisely and maximize your time there because the choices are endless!
I was fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of Disney's Free Dining promotion when they first announced it in April so we are able to enjoy free dining and save over $1200 USD for a week long stay! Free dining is one of Disney's most popular promotions so if you can snag a reservation during the free dining promotion periods, it is definite worth doing! As an avid Harry Potter fan, and fresh off of visiting the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Hollywood earlier this year, we are super super super excited to be visiting Universal Studios Orlando! With two Harry Potter themed parks, Diagon Alley and Hogmeade Village come alive and are joined via the Hogwarts Express that take you from one park to another! Staying onsite at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the flagship resort of Universal Studios Orlando, we can be whisked away to the recreated seaside village of Portofino, Italy and enjoy "la dolce vita" - the sweet life.
Staying onsite provides guests the extra benefit of early admission to the Harry Potter attractions before the park opens, and as an extra bonus of staying at the deluxe resort, we automatically receive Universal Unlimited Express Pass, an express pass to skip the lines and enjoy the rides as many times as we would like without having to wait in line! (A huge bonus not having to deal with lines AND Florida heat in August, worth more than the $89/person per day value!)

As a recently certified Orlando Expert with Visit Orlando, I am looking forward to all that Orlando can offer so that I can advise my clients and plan their vacations accordingly! While my main focus will be enjoying Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando to better serve my clients and improve their vacation experiences, I will also be creating unforgettable memories with my kids and enjoying every single moment of this particular "work-cation"! #lovemyjob
